Fork geometry?

I want to buy a new, shorter stem online as a stop-gap measure until I sort out a new frame, but I'm rather confused as to how the hell I find out what the steerer size of my fork is. I've tried to Google it, but am coming up with absolutely nothing. It's for a Condor Fratello with the standard Deda Black Rain fork and I suspect one of you guys will know exactly what I need. I would be extremely grateful for that information, but beyond that, for future use, is there a way for me to work out all of that fiddly geometry (headset, bottom bracket etc) without me having to contact the bike manufacturer?
Cheers in advance

It's most likely to be 1.1/8th, easiest way to find out is to take the stem off and measure across the top of the steerer. And now you know, and knowing is half the battle

If the bike is less than 10 years old then almost certainly a inch and eigth.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

Aha, so the 1 1/8 refers to inches, does it? So we measure stem length in milimetres, tube length in centimetres and steerer diameter in inches? All very straight forward then
Thanks guys0 -
It can be quite confusing with the different sizes, but the good thing is most things are in standard sizes, so easy to find.0
