Hi all
having read most of the chinese carbon frame thread i have a couple of questions

1. What is meant by "Droplike top tube"?
2. Which bottom bracket standard is english 68mm? Is it BB30, hollowtech 2?
3. What is the difference between 3K & 12K carbon?
4. Who is the best/most respected chinese manufacturer? Carbonzone or any others?

Sorry for my ignorance but am intrigued by these frames

Cheers all
marco

    1. Drop like I assume is aerofoil (teardrop looking in chinglish)
    2. English 68mm is standard external cups, like HT 2 and so on.
    3. 3k/12k is just the surface finished. 12k is a wide weave (12mm??) and 3k is a nicer looking, IMO, weave. Underneath the bike they should be the same, its just the final layer.
    4. Hongfu, Dengfu, Carbonzone are the main ones. I am ordering from Hongfu

    1. I think 'droplike' means tear-drop shape in profile.
    2. English BB is 68mm shell with 1.37" thread x 24 tpi. BB30 is a press-fit BB bearing standard whereas Hollowtech is a Shimano proprietary BB design.
    3. 3k and 12k is the topcoat cosmetic weave pattern in threads per inch.
    4. FWIW Carbonzone is an ebay seller linked to Hongfu Bike. They sell a range of frames from the likes of XPA. Carbonzone are a good seller.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
