Worth upgrading 2009 Orange P7?

Hi All,
I've just bought a 2009 Orange P7 from a friend. It's a lovely bike and has hardly been used. The front wheel has a bit of a kink and the front disk has been bent slightly out of shape from being transported in a boot, but apart from that, the frame and the rest of the components seems pretty mint. So, the front wheel is in for a rebuild.
Other than trail riding, I'm looking to take this bike on some longer rides given its reputation for being a practical, versatile beast. I obviously don't want to needlessly upgrade any components, but I was wondering if anyone thought there were any worthwhile upgrades I could do - maybe bring that P7's weight down a little!
Thanks! 2009 spec copied below...

It's quite an evenly matched spec, nothing stands out as being out of place. it's all functional, if weighty kit. An air fork will drop a bit of weight off the front end, but the frame itself is 6lbs which is a lot for a bike like this.0

Yeah, it is quite a weighty frame, as any steel frame will be, though if you get a better fork, it would drop a load of weight off the front of the bike, partly because that fork is coil sprung, and partly because it has steel stanchions, so it weighs an absolute ton. A Sektor air or something would be a good choice.0

You'd have to say that if you got an alloy frame it would drop even more lol!0
