I have just took this rear light off my trek http://www.rutlandcycling.com/17424/Cateye-TL-LD610-LED-Rear-White-Light.html?referrer=froogle1%3futm_source%3dgoogle&utm_medium=froogle&utm_campaign=pid17424 but the fixing mount strap is not big enough to fit around my scott seat post. Has anybody any ideas what I could apart from using tie wraps?

welcome to the crazy world of Scott seat tube sizes
i had a similar problem with my rear mudguard
i had to use a combination of heating the plastic bracket and tie-raps to get the bracket to fit
it worked fine, but looked sh*t
as far as i know, there arent brackets done in this size (hard enough to find actual seatposts in that size)0 -

I know what you mean about trying to find a seatpost lol. Hmm, I will have to have a bettter look at it tommorow. To be honest I only had a quick look. Cat eye should make it a bit longer so it will clamp any post not 'any post except scott' :roll:0 -
I have exactly the same issue with my Scott
with Both Cateye light mount and Mudguard
If anyone has any recommendations for both it would be appreciated

tried 0 rings like the seals of pipes if you get them in the right size (diameter of seat tube) can act like rubber bands holding it on some cycle computer speedo mountings have them on so they can strech with dif size forks hope this helpsScott Spark 30 carbon custom build
