You don't give much info, but if you have a bike, it's worth starting off on the easy stuff until you feel confident on it.
Maybe start by cycling on roads and any local cycle paths. Do you have any gravel type paths around lakes or within parks that you can ride on?
If you haven't exercised for a while, it would be a good idea, also, to start off doing maybe, 30 minute stints, and slowly build up your fitness.
Hope this helps.0 -
sorry :L yeah we haveloads of woods around and i am a goodbiker i just want to get into proper events but all the website i have looked at havent made much sense so i thought it would be a god idea to ask a real person.0

Frankly you are not making too much sense yourself.
What sort of bike do you have?
What sort of riding do you do, what do you want to do (race? organised group rides?).
XC, Downhill?
Offer some info and you may get some help.
What doesn't make sense on what websites?
Etc.I don't do smileys.

Well why not find out what the events are in your area, gather the info and see what they require, if anything?0

look out for events that are open to the public e.g. dalby dare a fue weeks back its where people of all abilitys can enter there a good laugh and dont feel like a spanner when the pros leave you for dust if entering a event thats to higher standard for your ability to me those bikes you have say red or black dh is pushing it for them and will end up in something breaking as there not designed for it if your trying race speeds i talk from experience coz i dont have the grace of a unlimited bank account i started on a carrera kracken £400 from halfords lol and am only just getting rid of it as ive managed to save up for something that can take race pace so yeh to your question look out on these forums and majour cycling sites as word of these events generally spread fast and no no licences ect are needed in any race ive ever entered hope this helpsScott Spark 30 carbon custom build
