How do you entertain yourself when doing a couple hour stint on a turbo?

  • I wonder about the afterlife and whether or not I will have to sit on a bike on a turbo for however long before being allowed into Heaven.

No flies on you mate. The pedalling is the hardest bit though, listening to the radio is pretty easy (apart from the "Trent Valley windows" ads).

I keep reminding myself that I am getting back into shape after being knocked off my bike and having bones broken. That by next year I will be in better shape than ever and ready to blitz whatever Sportive I tip my hat at :D

    Lap top.
Training plan with prompts on one screen, iplayer on the other screen.

I find if I'm watching something interesting, the tedium of the turbo fades.

A couple of hours on the turbo? Are you mad? I can't even entertain myself for 30 minutes on one

A certain ex-forumite always had some good advice for turbo sessions and used to swear by the Sufferfest vids.

Sorry to hear that you've been clobbered as well, hope the recovery is going well. Mental images of me stomping on the dizzy witch that knocked me off my bike tend to help my motivation enormously.

I use the time to finalise my plans for world domination.

    Muhahahahaha
  • I wank.

In reality, I watch different videos, sometimes MTB, sometimes road, sometimes an actual movie. I never go longer than 1.5 hours though, I just cant handle any longer.
