Hi all!
As you can probably guess from the title I have a Yeti 575 and during a ride yesterday I noticed a some of play in the main pivot bearing. I was just wondering if there was any way of removing the play without having to change the bearings as the bike is only around 6 months old and I don't really want to be changing bearings at this stage.

Thanks for any replies!

Perhaps a silly question but have you tried tightening it?
  • A sillier question- How might you do that? I have tried turned the pivot axle in the middle of the bearings with an allen key but it just spins round. I am guessing that you would need to hold it from the crank side with another allen key??

suprised at that, My Yeti has been in constant weekend use for over 18 months and the bearings are still A1, if they are dodgy, worth trying for a warranty replacement!
  • Yeah that's true. I was surprised that they developed play so early as well. I'll bear the warranty replacement in mind.
