Changing gear by thought alone....

There could be a battle between Jens Voigt's head and his legs:

Jens Voigt's Legs: Change Down

Jens Voigt's Head: Shut Up Legs, Change Up!

    What a load of rubbish

We all know that Jens only rides a single speed whatever the course: TT, rolling, mountains, whatever and that he rides 57/10
  • what if your only thought was 'this hill is steep, i give up', so you go up a gear and the hills harder.....it is a voight machine.
The dissenter is every human being at those moments of his life when he resigns
momentarily from the herd and thinks for himself.

But if you get the 'Grand Old Duke of York' in your head your gears will be dancing!

What if you're about to leap out of the saddle to pass some old duffer in a Metro and you think 'crikey I hope it doesn't change down now', and it changes down, now. I foresee too many opportunities for a knacker / top tube interface moment with this sort of thing. Not good.

Maybe if it responded to the amount of sweat dripping onto the front mech on a decent climb...
