Vitus Vee 1 Alternatives

Decided I need to start riding a bike to work and back.
I've got a Kona Hoss for fun stuff but wanted something lighter and simpler for commuting.
The Vitus Vee 1 looks ideal but the 19" frame is dicontinued and god knows when or if it'll be back.
SIngle speed preferred but not fixed.

V brakes are fine
Budget would be about the £260 or so the Vitus costs
From a quick look about the Kona Humu watsit looks doable but a little over budget.
Is there anything I'm missing?
Suggestion most welcome.

bit out of your budget but the Kona dew drop on CRC at £399 looks a good deal; reduced from 650 or so0
