Are there any such things on the market yet for one person that are suitable for cycling?Dont fancy the idea of cycling with a big round pop up tent on your back unless its really small

if the wind was behind you it might be an advantage to have an enormous hoop on your back. Or you could erect it on the pannier rack like a mainsail for side-winds.
My tent is packed all attached and goes up in a minute with 4 pegs and a quickly inserted pole. There is no big advantage in the hoopy ones.
Decathlon do a backpacker tent that erects like that , as do other manufacturers.Raleigh Eclipse, , Dahon Jetstream XP, Raleigh Banana, Dawes super galaxy, Raleigh Clubman

The main advantage of popup tents is that you can pitch them whilst blind drunk.
I know from experience that pitching a tent whilst drunk is challenging. We managed to drive back from the restaurant to the campsite but were unable to handle pitching our tent.
