Grammatically, "There ARE" tits in this thread

A small French car coveted by MaxPowerReaders and rust?

The groupset? no, that would be too off the wall.

    Any other ideas?

    Smal French car ?

What about the Ford Anglia 105 E ?

My Dad and his brother had one in the mid 60s with a Lotus Cortina engine and a ZF racing 4speed gear box in it. They got it up to 165mph on Lasham airfield ?!?!!?!

    165mph with a 4-speed box?

I think there might have been something wrong with your Dad's speedo.

You were supposed to build your own Mirror Dinghy in your garage, then tow it to the water behind a Ford Anglia!

In the 60's everything made sense.

He did make his own, in a greenhouse, but it was just before I was born so I don't remember the tow car. My point was it never managed 185 mph or anywhere near that. :(

No, 85mph would have been OTT for an Anglia in those days. IIRC the maximum speed of 70mph was chosen for motorways as that was the most a 'family saloon' could manage. Or is that another urban myth?
