Weekend at Coed y Brenin
Off to Coed y Brenin this weekend, stopping over night Saturday so have 2 full days there.
What's the best way to go about it? Do the Beast the first day then go back and do 2 separate parts on the Sunday?
Was also thinking about leaving lunchtime on sunday and calling in at Llandegla to do the red on the way home or will CyB keep us busy for 2 days.
Thanks

Greggors, depends on how uber fit you are - we did cyb for the first time earlier in the year and made the mistake of doing dragons back on the sat, then tawr on the sunday. Tawr was great, but we were so knacked from dragons back that a lot of it was "hold on for dear life"!
You seem to be able to pick up the best of dragons back and the beast on the individual routes like mbr.
But...if you're planning on doing cyb for 2 days then doing llandegla, you may well be an awful lot fitter than me!Canyon AM 6.0
At some point i am going to manage to jump one of these things.....0 -

the mbr and the dragons back are both great trails in their own right. both take 2-3 hrs and a great blast. Dragons back is longer but flowier (worth it for the dream time section alone) - take the short cut form the the garden cafe (left up the steep tarmac road, ignore the dragons back marker pointing right, keep going up hill, take the second major fire road on the right at top of hill, rejoin dragons back at pugsley i think it's called) and it's not much longer and you miss nothing. the mbr is more technical and always feels like it knocks you about more but great fun, especially the beginning of the end section.
personally, if pretty pretty bike fit, i would do the beast first day and then head off the llandegla or nant y arian on the sunday for a quick blast and then plenty of time to get back to sheff. my home town so know it takes about 2.5 hours from degla and about 3-3.5 hours from nant y arian. both great trails, however of your down that neck of the woulds any way i'd go for nant y arian as you can always have a day trip to degla from sheff0
