Giro Di Lombardia 2011

Hi. Does anyone know anything about the route, specifically start and end of the race this year?

The start will be by the Palazzo Lombardia in Milan, as it has been for several years, but this year it will finish in Lecco.
The last 7 years the finish has been in Como, but the organisers (who have got a new main race director) want to go back to have a varying finish destination, like they apparently had in the past, when not just Como but Milan, Monza and Bergamo staged the finish.

Also... they have just announced 25 teams!! Make up of 8 riders per team - so 200 riders.

It will be interesting to see what route they use now that the finish is in Lecco... Maybe they will have Intelvi later and Ghisallo earliier... They could also do Colle Brianza as it is close to Lecco.

Unless they are looking to make a totally clean break from the past, I think you'll see a pretty similar route to previous years with the exception of the finale.

Perhaps they'll approach the Sormano from the south, cross over to Nesso and then head up to Bellagio before the Ghisallo & the run in to Lecco?
