Thule 591 roof mounting Rack - Which Side???

Just having a bit of a debate with myself, I've just bought a Thule set up for my bike and wondering which side of the car it should be mounted on?
Is there anything that should be taken into account over simply accessing from the road/footpath, potential for it to be of easier reach of random people on the footpath.
There will only be one bike on the car roof and was just wondering what peoples personal preferences were as I think that is all it comes down to??
Thanks
Robert

Mine sits on the drivers side reason being roof box opens up on passenger side when we go away for holsFelt AR4

Mine is attached to the kerb side, for ease of use.Start with a budget, finish with a mortgage!0

Driver's side is slightly easier to insert the bike. I don't think the arms are reversible but someone may tell me different.0

Yes the arm is reversible, but I've seen many people with the bike facing backwards - which doesn't seem to be a problem.
Mine is on passenger side. My thinking is if I'm (un)loading bike then I'm best standing out of traffic, on the footpath.0 -
Drivers side for me so I can see the bike in my wing mirror.

Thanks for the replies!
I swapped the arm round a couple of times and decided in the end to go with the drivers side. I wanted the bike further away from the footpath to stop passersby's when the car is parked and I'm not there being able to reach it. I can also see the bike through the drivers wing mirror.
The standing in traffic to unload/load it was a concern although I stand on that side to get in and out of the car. I figure it's just a case of being vigilant and careful and choosing parking carefully when loading/unloading on a road.
