Hi all,
I've just fitted some Look Keo Easy road pedals to my bike. They seem to be fine :-)
I have fitted the Grey Look cleats to my new road shoes also and i've noticed that the cleats move slightly on the shoe when unclipping etc - I assume they need tightening some more? Is this correct? I didn't want to over tighten the cleat bolts as its my first time using these and so wanted to be sure before I tighten them up as hard as i can.
Thanks
Rob

Cleats have a degree of "float" or sideways movement so your knees don't get knackered. From memory, I think the red Look cleatc have zero float and the black about 9 degrees andf the grey, about 4.5 degrees which is fine for a bit of side to side movement when the cleat is engaged. Don't overtighten the screws!! have fun!Would get down on the drops more if the gut wasn't in the way!0

its the actual cleat moving on the shoe, not in the pedal. so, for example, if ii oush hard on the cleat it will move on the shoe - which makes me think its meant to be screwed in tighter, otherwise there's no way to regulate the exact cleat position etc???0

I've got the exact same set-up, and say yes tighten the screws up, they have alot of float in them. Just out of curiosity could you tighten the pedals when you first installed them? and does the thread stick out a little.
My cleat does not move on my shoe, I'm using the dhb1 road shoe by the way, good luck!0 -
Yes, screw it in tighter - if you're usuing a screwdriver, and you're not Mr Apollo, I doubt you can strip the threads. They need to be tight to keep the cleat immovable on the shoe.0
