Floral Bike Parade, South Bank, 28 August

Dunno if anyone's hears about this, but there's a great event happening as part of the 60th anniversary celebrations for the Festival of Britain. Basically they are recreating the Floral Bike Parade. If you're in the Haringey area, the parade will leaveBruce Castle Museum at 2pm then travel to the South Bank where other cyclists will be waiting to join in. At 4pm the parade will set off on a circuit around the Southbank Centre. Cyclists are encouraged to cover their bikes and clothing in floral motifs. There will be special bike decoration stations at the Southbank Centre (level 1 outside Royal Festival Hall, 2-4pm) when you arrive so you can give yourself some real petal power. Sounds like fun...
