Apparently did an interview with a Dutch journalist, admitted using EPO while at US Postal / Discovery, then had a change of mind and stole the recording and threatened to set a rottweiler on the journo :!:

The journalist has filed a police report.

The story must be false - whoever heard of a rider on Lance Armstrong's team doping? It beggars belief.

I wonder who he's been getting his advice from?

It's funny how "that era" slowly moves further and further forward as time passes. I remember when "that era" was pre-Festina... now it's 2006.

It's like a Carry On film

    Carry On Doping

    starring:
    Sid James as Johan Bruyneel
    Kenneth Wiiliams as Lance Armstrong
    Bernard Bresslaw as Viatcheslav Ekimov
    Jim Dale as Floyd Landis
    Charles Hawtrey as Michele Ferrari
    Hattie Jacques as Jan Ullrich

    Yeah.

He has an interview, Hamilton style, about his time at US Postal and Discovery, about what Armstrong's like, what Landis was like, the team doping practices and doping in the peloton.

Afterwards, at the end of the interview he asks if they can miss out the doping stuff. The journo says no, so he steals the tape/ throws it away, and after some "give it to me!" gets his rotwiller out.

There's some journo chat about publicising it after the Tour, in fairness to him and Max says "fine, you can tell the story" < but since he's still got the tape, the story is not what he said, but what he did during the interview.

    You couldn't make it up.

But we shouldn't come to any judgement until we hear the dog's version of events.

I never had a problem with Max Van Hes' (etc) on my Procycling Manager Game. He seemed to go better in the game than real life; as his Manager I promise I didn't dope him
