Bike shop reccomendation near Runcorn

Can anyone reccomend a good, friendly bike shop near me in Runcorn? I've been in one or two in surrounding towns but they've not exactly been the most helpful places.
I've been cycling for 30 years but my product and technical knowledge isn't always up to scratch for some of the staff I've spoken too who can't hide their annoyance that I don't know whether I want a bracket to fit the seat post or the chain stays (a made up example but you get the point!).
I am looking to buy my first cyclocross bike and the looks of dismay I've had when I've saked if they could order a couple of different models in to test ride have been hilarious! apparently cyclocross is a 'niche' market!
