Want to use a 28-559 [26 x 1 1/8] but will it fit on my rim?

Hello. I have a rim, when i measured it, it was approximately 30mm wide from outside to outside... For inside to inside i think it was approximately 26mm or so.

Can i use 28-559 [26 x 1 1/8] tyre in that rim ?

And its a single wall rim, how high pressure can i have on the tyre on a single wall rim ?

I would say the tyre was too narrow to fit comfortably on that rim.

Agreed, as a rule of thumb the tyre should be at least as wide as the 125% of outer-outer measurement of the rim. So for a 30mm rim you want a 38mm plus tyre, which is 1.5 Inch tyre or more.

Every rim is different max pressure, so that is back to manufacturer's guidelines I think. What rim is it?
