Setting rebound tips

Hi all
Anyone got any tips for setting rebound on forks? I ve had some trouble recently, not helped by there being nowhere gnarly enough in my part of Holland to really make the fork work hard. It would be good if I could get a good start point dialled in first!
Thanks all (perhaps this could go in the FAQ, i did look I promise!)

Experiment! Many ways to start - maybe set in the middle, go and ride, see how it feels and adjust.
For most a setting that doesn't pack down over succesive hits, or fire back too quick is good.0 -
set it so that after compressing the fork/all you can just get the wheels off the ground before the suspension fully extends."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
