At the risk of generalising like a cheap Daily mail Journo, Is this the way forward in Cycling Sponsorship with broadly "national" teams backed by local sponsors a la Sky, Green edge, Radio Shack?

    Looks like he's not staying with this new Belgian superteam.
    It does look like a return to olden days, with largely nationality-based riders.
    Remember that you are an Englishman and thus have won first prize in the lottery of life.

    Jurgen Vandenbroeck and Jelle Vanendert were rumoured to stay with Lotto - and it looks like they might not get Gilbert either. So to what degree it would be a 'superteam' or even the dominant Belgian team remains to be seen... Not that much would change compared to this year, apart from Lotto likely to lose Gilbert and perhaps its WorldTour licence. Just another saga in the long QucikStep-Lotto rivalry

    The Velits to OPQ as well?! So HTC is folding, or this is to accommodate Velit's GC ambitions? Doesn't look good...

    You know, Peter Velits made it clear he wanted to leave Mark Cavendish and co. Apparently it wasn't all kisses and cuddles on the HTC bus at the end of the Tour. So Velits's gone, but this doesn't mean HighRoad is folding.
