Replacement fork advice

Ok, so if I'm wasting my time with trying to get my forks fixed under warranty (see:http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=12791867), can anyone recommend what forks I should buy to replace my Dart 3's with?
I would prefer the forks to be white and have a remote lock-out, but if it's tight I can live without the remote lock-out.
Really haven't got the money to be spending so best value is 100% needed.
Cheers guys!

You should try looking on chain reaction cycles they have some really good deals on rockshox forks. 35 % off on some of them0

Well I've had a look about on Chain Reaction Cycles and they've got a set of Fox 32 Float RLs on there for £299.
I haven't a clue whether these would be suitable for my bike (Cube Acid) or not, but does anyone on here know?0 -
I use these on my orange crush and they are an amazing fork very very smooth ...... at that price they are a really good buy0

What travel has your current fork got?0

Those Fox Floats would absolutely not fit a Cube Acid: too long.
Tbh, even a basic RS Tora would be a decent upgrade over a Dart. Alternatively, for absolute value for money, it's hard to beat the RS Reba Team from Merlin (which drops to £270 if you use the VIP discount):

There was a discount code for that store a couple of weeks ago: SOLDES20
Gives 20% off, but not sure if it's still valid.0 -
Are these the Foxes you were talking about:

If so they've got a 1.5" steerer, you probably need a 1.125" (or 1 1/8th) one. Also, you should be looking at 100mm forks.0 -
Check out On-One (Planet-X) cycles. They often have great deal on forks. Last year around this time I purchased a pair of RS Reba Team Dual Air for less than half RRP form them.

Right, yeah, just had a call from my mate after sending him the same info in an e-mail this morning and he said the 1.5" steerer is too big for my bike and I should be looking at 1 1/8 and that I should be looking at around 100mm travel and that I could have 140mm travel but it would (understandably) screw the geometry of my bike up and that I can get away with a little bit more but shouldn't go that far.
Ok, so I'm looking at the Reba forks then. There seems to be a few variations of the same fork though so I'm wondering which one I should be looking at. What does the RL or RLT or RLT Ti mean (although I'm guessing the Ti is Titanium?)?0 -
If your bike currently has 100mm I would only go up another 20mm.0
-
Aye, fair one.0

Depends on your warranty too.
Go for the Reba Team as mentioned above - gets the Black Box damper, is very controlled.0 -
Ah hang on, is there a difference between the Reba Team and the RL or RLT?
I just thought you were talking about any Reba ones, but I've just done a search on Reba Team and the ones that are coming up are more expensive but the specs seem to be the same.
Am I missing something here? :oops:0 -
Depends where you get the fork from.
Basically the Team is 2010 and gets balck box damping.
The SL is 2010 and is functionally similar to the RL of 2011. The Race is 2010 and similar to the RLT (only difference appears to be an external floodgate adjuster)
The Team is similar to the RLT Ti, ie the Black Box Motion control. This is superb.0
