Hi Guys

We have been in talks with QECP for a bit about trail building in the park.

We have sorted out some dig days to maintain and extend the trails.

The next dig day is Sat 13th & Sun 14th August if anyone is interested in helping out.

We are meeting in the main car park at 10.15 and the plan is to start a new bit of trail to cut out a fire road down on the orange trail.

For more info contact me at qecptrailbuilding@yahoo.co.uk or http://www.facebook.com/pages/QECP-Moun ... 8874329819

Cheers

Scott

  • I should be able to make one of these days - probably Sunday. Loads of work's gone into this so far and the trails are getting so much better!

Should be along for this one - and this time I'll bring my bike instead of a rake. How are the first sections holding up after all the rain? We were going to cut them in more but Henry insisted that what was needed was a natural (off-camber mud) trail.

I rode up there Sat morning and the section that has been taken off the road seems to have washed out a bit over where some tubes had been put in to drain water away, that may need some serious attention before winter,

Riding really good up there though, however I'm not overly keen on the jump onto the berm, it's too tight and can't get much speed nearly went over the berm haha ;)

  • We rode the orange trail at the weekend its getting a bit muddy and still needs a lot of work.

We need the the help we can get.

The next dig weekend is on 8th/9th October 2011, meet at main carpark at 10.15.
Come down and lend a hand for one or both days and we will fill you in on the bigger picture for QECP. Bring a bit of lunch and a spade and a rake if you have them if not we should have enough.
