so, after the debacle last week of me possibly being made redundant, it turns out that after the one to one consultations they've decided to promote me to running the branch!!!! they've 'moved' my boss - correction, old boss - got to have my first meeting with him tomorrow to see how we're going to work together 
my big boss has said basically if he doesn't like it he can fook off, he had his chance
get in, a pay rise and company car are on the horizon 8)
