Looking back at the photos from this year.... what do people reckon was the Best and Worst looking bike used this year then?

Best, might have to go for S-Works of Saxo Bank. Classic lines. Contador's colours in particular looked pretty good.

Worst, Im gonna go for Sky's Pinarello Dogmuck, the colours saved it a bit but all the wobbly melted bits overshadow that, looks like its been through a liquify filter in photoshop.

My local Specialized concept store had a Venge in HTC livery and that looked great in the flesh, My god was it light too, we could have played catch with it!!

I like the way the Dogma looks but I ve always wanted a Cervelo....

+ 1 for Look Cofidis and white Merckx.

I was going to pick that as the ugliest. Looks like a 2005 bike in a 2011 world.

This thread just goes to show that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Best - Tough choice, give in.

Worst - Polka dot paint job.
None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.
  • Best for me is definitely Cavendishes Mclaren Venge, that thing is just so lovely looking, with some trick bits of kit!

Don't really have a worst, they are all quite nice in my opinion!
  • Best - Lampre's non day-glo Cento Uno SLR with gum wall Vittoria Corsa Evo tires on Fulcrum Racing Light XLR's
    Worst - Lampre's day-glo Cento Uno SLR - it's just wrong :?

Dispite the detailed graphics, it still looks understated and purposful !!

I can't pick a worst - I'd have any of them given as long as it was a 56cm!

Best - I love the Giants of Rabobank. Simple styling done simply. Nice.

Saur Sojasun (?) on Time RXRS... cr@p team, great bikes.

Was wondering how to hijack the team car from Europcar - a roof-load of C59's with Boras? Very tasty... except the yellow one which looked hideous.

I like the Dogma, in Movistar colours anyway, not a fan of the Sky colour scheme. The Dogma is one bike that I think looks waaaaaaaaaaay better in real life than pictures. Photos always make it look a bit flat and chunky, but see one out in the sunshine and all those curves and fancy tube shapes start to look really good, the shadows and reflections from that crazy sparkly paint really stand out. Bling overload, but luscious.

Quite like the BMC too, they look sharp, precision-tools-for-the-job kind of aesthetic.

Timeless beauty. The C59 ignores passing trends and will always look classy. No gimmicks, just a bike, looking like a bike should.
