Geraint Thomas Charity Ride

Wow!!! Got the chance to ride with Geraint Thomas this weekend as part of his 170 mile ride on a Tandem from Cardiff to Denbigh.

We met them just after Oswestry and rode the last 35 - 40 miles to Denbigh, there were only a handful of riders at first so me and my son had Geraint on our wheel for quite a few miles, later there must have been over 100 riders for the last 20 miles or so.

Toward the end it started to get a bit “busy” with riders trying to get to the front so along with a few other riders we moved away past Geraint, neither of us had ever ridden in a group before but we were doing a good 26/27 mph on the flat and slight inclines and I was just about hanging onto the back of the group luckily we stopped just as I started to drop off the back!!

What a fantastic day, the lad shook his hand and Geraint thanked him for helping him earlier - what a great bloke what a great day!!!! Some Photo's below.
