On quite a few things.

So, good deals on jerseys etc.

And, if you want to annoy someone on ebay whose price is higher, why not make them an offer lower than the RRP from Rapha's own site?

Cheers for that Mr Robot (didn't feel right calling you bender).

Anyone know if these were the same prices that were on this weekend at the London shop or have they sneaked them up slightly?

    Thanks for that!

My my logic, I have just spent £100.

By my wife's logic I have just saved £100.

I love it when the wife is right

  • There is a thread on the commuting thread titled 'Rapha Sample Sale' with the price list

    Cheers Bender

They're a fair bit higher. All short sleeved jerseys were £35 for example. Went in on Friday and spent £200. Went in on SUnday and spent another £100. Got a merino Paul Smith/ Rapha jumper for £20 - they had hundreds in the shop, and they looked a bit lurid (quite bright purple) but got it home and it's actually really nice. WIsh I'd bought another. To be honest, I wish I'd bought a rake load of what they had left yesterday just to hawk on ebay. 12 club jerseys sold for £60 each would have covered my spending splurge.

Bit annoyed with myself - at one point on Friday I had 2 pairs of bib shorts in my hand (£50 each) then decided they might be a fraction too big and put them down - according to the website, they'd have been ideal.

    Garnett,

Don't beat yourself up, I did exactly the same last year. Only spent what I thought I could afford rather than planning ahead. Couldn't make it down this year, gutted, sounds like there were some good deals. Least you have the good karma in knowing you left some stuff for others!

oooh, the silk scarf's down to 35 quid!

Yeah, good karma on Friday, but what about SUnday, when I saw they had shedloads of some things left! Hey ho. I deliberated about selling some of what I got, but then had a look at it all and thought - "You know, I'll get so much use out of it all".

Forgot to say already - how nice are the Rapha people? THey all seemed really decent folk. That, and the fact I've actually sen how good their stuff is now, means I'm definitely buying more.

I was going to treat myself to the Bomber jacket but loads of people got there before me and my size is all sold out. Mind you, I've got enough Rapha gear anyway (although not the silk scarf - for some reason I never did get one of those!)

What do I ride? Now that's an Enigma!

    Ooooh goody, a sale.

Now it's just ridiculously overpriced rather than stupidly overpriced!

    Hit refresh and it's down.

I am glad I got in early. Thanks for the heads up. :P
Way ahead of the customer e-mail which probably clogged the system up.

The Rapha ones are great if you like the stripy black/white (or Italian) look. They fit well if you have fairly thin upper arms (i.e. cyclists' biceps  )

I heard this - potentially ideal for me. Except they were £10 in the store sale and I'm buggered if I am going to spend £25 on the same item to subsidise hard up Londoners!

Can second the arm warmer sizing comments. Bought some on Friday and took them back on Sunday. Got size Large and couldn't get them past my forearms.

Watch your sizing if you have "normal" arms. My Assos ones are restrictive while the Rapha ones are more comfy (looser). I can't remember if I ordered by size or if they are one size fits all.

Tis annoying though, very few "best offers" so I can't say ""Why should I pay you £70 when it's only £60 on the rapha site." :D
