Bike hire Essex

I'm back in the homeland for a few weeks in October and instead of bringing my bike with me I thought I would try hiring one. However, am finding it difficult to locate a shop that will hire road bikes...

Anyone know of any shops that hire out near Chelmsford/Colchester?

On the other hand, if anyone has a second bike that would fit me I'd be willing to help out and give it a run out for you.... wouldn't want anything seizing up whilst its in your damp shed being ignored since you bought your new one...

Given what else lurks in Essex (TOWIE) I would be a bit cautious about hiring an "Essex bike" - it will probably come with a ludicrous finishing kit, suffer from over-inflation and need a regular infusion of oil before it will do anything.

I had a sirrus once, but it got nicked.

What size is yours? You didn't happen to get it second hand off gumtree perchance? Paintwork danaged on the down-tube?

No bought it from my Lbs a few years back. It's a 56 (L) so 5'6 to 6'2.
