Hi,

I completed the LDN Cambridge the other weekend without incident, so am looking at upping it at the end of the season with either the wessex 100 or teh new forest 100. This will be my first attempt at those distances so has anyone done either?

Yes, the former. If you rode London-Cambridge reasonably comfortably you should be able to do a century without too much bother. Just take it steadily and make the ride to each feed station your immediate target. Brassknocker Hill is steep but short and many people walk it.

Several of us did London-Cambridgeand back without much difficulty in about 8 hours so 100miles over similar rolling terrain is easily doable with the right food/liquid intake.

I'm now looking for my next 100...

Cheers, I had heard about the hill was just making sure that there were no other nasty surprises on either road that 1st timers should avoid

I learnt the hard way about correct food and drink and only got it right for cambridge after reading threads on here
