in any colour you want as they are all easy to clean except maybe soft touch black as it's more of a suede type feel to it

If you must go white, it must be Fizik Microtex. However, go black if you possibly can in which case any old black cork is fine.

White is the only acceptable colour for bar tape. However, sportive riders typically have their handlebars so high they get snow on them, even in summer, rendering the colour of the underlying tape meaningless.

I wasn't asking for colour recommendations :o) I'm going for black, as will show up the dirt less than the white

Cav rides with black bar tape so I suppose he rides sportives and has a very high handlebar position.......

He doesn't have a choice, his sponsors/team decide the kit. Besides, he's hardly the epitome of style, is he? This man, however, is:

Any recommendations on bulky cushioned bar tape in white?

Fizik's dual tape is perfect, but doesn't come in white only. The normal Fizik bar tape is too skinny and leads to a harsh ride in my experience.

No, but Pozzato is in fact impersonating a set of sportif handlebars. If he had black armwarmers on it would be perfect, but obviously his sense of style doesn't let him own something so dull.

It appears we share the same fault - telling people what to do on the internet.

Anyway, thanks for posting at 9pm on a Friday night telling me to get out a bit more - I wonder if you can offer any suggestions?
