Hey Guys. I've just been out looking at some bikes for road/gentle off road use, nothing too heavy.

Decathlon had the Rockrider 5.3 http://www.decathlon.co.uk/EN/rockrider ... 172072748/

Do you think this is worth me spending £100 more than the 5.2 ? http://www.decathlon.co.uk/EN/rockrider ... #AVANTAGES

Also looked at the Ridgeback MX3 at a local bike shop http://www.decathlon.co.uk/EN/rockrider ... #AVANTAGES

What would you go for guys? Also as i will probably buy a bike for my wife too, any of you ladies out there have any problems with the "unisex" nature of the Decathlons?

edit: How about this Specialised bike deal? http://www.cyclestore.co.uk/productDeta ... egoryID=60

The 5.3 gains a nice damped fork, a better spread of gears and decent disc brakes - the 5.2 is good, but the 5.3 is worth the extra.

The Ridgeback, to be honest, is incredibly poor! Awful fork, poor gears and heavy kit. The Hardrock isn't much better - nice frame, but plagued with another poor fork and some cheap kit.

If the 5.3 fits, is a no brainer.
