    I have done this ride for the last seven years and both loved it and loathed it; however this year the organisers had raised their game turning this into the best medium sized sportive I have ever done.

    The food was just right, there was very little fuss, parking excellent and I liked the new dogleg they put in at Hayfield. The only thing that they let us down on was the weather particularly the strong wind against us on Winnetts Pass. This lifted my front wheel a foot clean of the ground!

    I also knocked nearly an hour of my personal best time for this event!
