A silly question about slick tyres

i bought a 2nd hand bike with a Michelin PRO 3 race service course tyres on them. im not sure how old they are but i really like them because they are very gripy even on damp conditions and rolling resistance is very low and if im going to replace them i would by the same one. so far i have not have any punctures. but since they are slicks i cant really tell if they are worn out.
so my question is how would you know that its time to change tyres? what do you look out for in tyres?

The centre section of the tyre will be distinctly rougher, but what is likely to 'kill' a tyre like a PR3 is excessive numbers of cuts right through the carcass. FWIW PR3 is a high-performance road tyre so don't expect high durability or puncture-resistance.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

Cuts and roughness as mentioned, and also check the shape of the tyre. Is the profile still round or is it becoming flat?CAPTAIN BUCKFAST'S CYCLING TIPS - GUARANTEED TO WORK! 1 OUT OF 10 RACING CYCLISTS AGREE!0

Pro 3 are brilliant fast, grippy tyres
Look out for them on special offer at ribblecycles, chainreaction or parker international0
