For anyone not aware there is a new climb available now the Hindhead tunnel is open Southbound (and Northbound Friday). I rode Brook to Hindhead yesterday afternoon on an empty A3. Bliss after 25 years here!. The descent will be clear on Friday afternoon. It also opens up new routes around my area.

Yep, that works, the road from Brook was marked as closed, but I ignored that and it was fine. Don't blame me if it isnt!
The surface may well be OK, if it is like the !track" from the cafe to the Gibbet it will be perfectly road bikeable.0 -
Just tried to ride down the old A3 and they really wouldn't let me, the BOAT alternative isn't suitable for road bikes yet, so I must have just been lucky.0
