Hi all, i am looking for a pair of none SPD winter boot, that are warm and waterproof for my flat pedals (i know SPD are more efficient but in winter i use flat )
I know i'm looking early, but just finding it so hard to get a pair, Last winter i used 5 ten which are just great for grip with the allen screws, and i have tried overshoes but they get torn to bits by the screws.
Thanks in advance
Darren

More of a hiking boot than a cycling boot, but I wear Timberland Bromilly.
Very warm and light, around £60"it's like a gift, you know? It's like I can't control it"0 -
why not just use your 5.10's teamed up with some longer sealskins socks.
accept the fact that the shoes will get wet, but your feet will stay dry and you still get the grip. when it gets real cold you can get some thin merino wool socks to wear under the sealskins0 -
The inside of Sealskinz waterproof socks are merino anyway.
For what it's worth, I use both methods mentioned above. I use either a pair of not-waterproof-at-all running shoes that dry off exceptionally quickly, with sealskinz socks inside, or I use my Mammut goretex boots - which actually grip the pedals exceedingly well.
I find riding in boots a little bit of a hindrance, so I use the trainers/sealskinz if I'm doing something quite technical, otherwise it's the boots.0
