Does any one have opinions about Fizik saddles. Looking at the aliante gammavs. Not the most flexible guy in planet hence thinking that was the best for me. Any thoughts ?

I have recently upgraded my stock San Marco saddle to a Fizik Antares (KIUM) and i honestly didn't think a saddle could be so comfy for a 15 stone guy. I can go for 60 miles without feeling a thing with this one! A great upgrade...0

And I have done exactly the opposite and gone back to my old San Marco Rolls. I've sat on planks of wood that are more comfortable than anything from the Fizik range - but that's my personal choice. Who knows, Fizik may suit you - they just don't suit me!

OP - only one way to find out with saddles and that's try them. Everyone has a different aris.
But FWIW I have an Antares and that's comfy for me. Which is of absolutely no help to you, sorry . . .0 -
I had an antares and just couldnt bare it. I now have san marco and prologo saddles0

ha ha....lots of different views here. I do agree though, that your arse is a personal thing and what is comfy for some, may not be for others. I did a charity ride last year with an 18 stone fella who had a solid carbon/plastic saddle and found it very comfy....I wasn't convinced!
First things first....measure your sit bones and get the right size!0 -
I've just bought a 2nd hand Fizik Pave from flea-bay, as I'm currently searching for the 'perfect' saddle  Tried the Spoon and didn't like it  Fingers crossed...Where would you be if you fell down a hole?.. I'm not flexible either but the Arione is brilliant for me. I suspect the flexibility thing is just marketing.
You need to test it for yourself though - all bums are different.0 -
Flexibility means nothing when choosing a saddle. What your looking for is your sit bones to be supported properly, so that weight doesn't come on the perenium too much. Flexibility in the saddle is import as it provides more comfort, but flexibility for a human is only important with length of stem and bar choices.0

I've got the Aliante Gamma and find it super comfy and do rides of 70 miles with no aches or pains from my nether regions. A lot of shops have tester Fi'zi:k saddles, see if your LBS does and if so try the different ones out, as mentioned above saddles are a very personal thing depending on your shape!Road - http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=40044&t=12777154&p=16943702#p16943702

Crazy! You did the opposite of what I'd just done. Blimey, who'd of thought it?Where would you be if you fell down a hole?.. Stuck down a hole... in the fog... Stuck down a hole, in the fog, at night... WITH AN OWL!0 -
My Arione took a few hundred miles before it was comfy. I could have given up on it a few times as initially it was like sitting on top of a wooden fence. I have just bought a second for my new bike.0

I had an Aliante on my flat barred bke and it was OK but have a Specialized Romin Expert on my roadbike and after a lot of tweaking it is wonderful. I can't really describe it but it feels like you are sitting in the seat rather than perched on it. however I know others who have tried them and not got on with them at all.0

As cougie rightly says, the whole Fizik flexibility thing is just marketing bollo$ks,
I've always rode on the Aliante, both with the kium rails (which you can feel flex and aids comfort) and the gamma version. Haven't tried the versus version as yet though, but the saddle shape is the important thing here.
It may or may not suit you, trial and error with saddles I'm afraid.0 -
The Fizik Arione works well for me. Also like the removeable Fizik tab under the seat to attach a light/saddlebag.Cannondale SS Evo Team

Love my aliante. Super comfy!0

I got an Aliante on my Giant was new and have never even considered another saddle.
It rocks.0 -
arione was THE most uncomfortable and sorest saddle i ever sat upon. the way my weight was centered solely on the perineum worried me greatly.0

Your bars should be taking about 1/3 of your weight too ?0
