I keep hearing that there are many great road bikes less than a grand - and there are. But the problem is that there are too many.
I would like a roadie with not too aggressive geometry - sportive style - bear in mind at less than a grand my shopping could be online and it get old very quickly to have loads of browser tabs open comparing frame geometry.
LBS is very helpful - so much so that if i go to size bikes i will buy and through no fault of their own not get the best bargain.
So which tall head tube - <1k - roadie should i buy
top 5 answers will be investigated further.

Well I'm debating a similar purchase and I've come down to a shortlist of 4.
Alu: Cannondale Synapse 105 or Genesis Aether 30
Steel: Genesis Equilibrium
Carbon: Ribble Sportive Bianco
I'm afraid I'm still at the 'loads of browser tabs open' stage though, so can't help much beyond that.Less internal organs, same supertwisted great taste.0 -
the one that feels the best when you ride it.Synapse Alloy 105 / Rock Lobster Tig Team Sl0

Wiggle's Verenti Millock?
I have no idea, but it looks to have good reviews, and I was quite tempted to get it myself.0
