I'm thinking about going to this. Does anyone know if these shows are any good? Or is there another bigger/better one?

Show was very good last year, and had a great breadth across brands and manufacturers...
With the show moving to the NEC it is going to be massive, bigger than ever.
IF you want bigger than that, get to Eurobike on the continent...0 -

Last year's at Earls Court was good for freebies! Free drinks bottle, multi-tool, chainwear tool, puncture repair kit, bike mags, 4hr Mark Cavendish DVD, Cycling Weekly pen, caps, energy gels and powders, as many free t-shirts as I could carry. Even the free bags that the stands give out come in handy.
You won't need to buy lunch either - just visit the Mule Bar stand and scoff away! There's usu a couple of GB team celebs doing autographs too. At the 2009 show Shimano had Di2-equipped bikes on turbo trainers for peeps to try the electronic shifting. I gather the show has moved to the NEC as the organisers need a bigger venue (more space = more display stands = more free stuff!).
In comparison, the London Bike Show earlier this year at ExCel was pathetic (but I did get a nice Shimano beanie).0 -
Ooooh (puts in diary, starts planning excursion - wonders if N London-NEC, back next day is do-able  )...
The one at ExCel was ok, but was overshadowed by the Boat exhibition next door (my boss' new 38ft yatch was on show before he took delivery of it). None of the major bike manufacturers were there though.Invacare Spectra Plus electric wheelchair, max speed 4mph0 -
