    Just wrap it round your pump. Less to carry.
    Also slice it in smaller sections so you dont have to cut it when out.
    Carry rubber gloves and a rag.
    My pump looks too good to be covered in gaffer tape. (lezyne). It isn't hard to cut either, rip it with your fingers and if needs be I've got a multitool with scissors in my bag.
