HI Folks,

As suggested above, im off cycling with my good lady for a couple of days at the end of this week staying in Killin. Im unable to view the routes section of BR for some reason, so any pointers and tips would be great.

One route we are planning is some of the sustrans 7 so anything along those lines would be great. We are on road bikes so any feedback on 7 or other roads would be appreciated.

Cheers

Willie

Glen Lochay, Glen Lyon, Loch Tay is a great loop (steep and long)

Loch Tay, Glen Quiaich, Crieff, Loch Earn, Glen Ogle is another super loop (long and brutally steep over Glen Quaich).

If you drive to Crieff and set off from there, then a loop along the Sma Glen, Strath Braan, Bankfoot, Little Glen Shee and Logiealmond is very nice (cycle friendly cafe next to the petrol station in Birnham).

If it is busy then the cycle path along Glen Ogle is much more pleasant than the road, though the surface is not that great for skinny tyres.

If oyu ride along towards Crieff then most of the A85 can be avoided by following a series of minor roards just to the south of the main road.
