At my local Halfords store there is a Carrera Virtuoso 2008 missing the chainset, derailleurs, brakes, and rear wheel, but has shifters, front wheel, fork, frame, hanger and stem handlebars seatpost etc. They want £80 for it in this state, is it worth it?

I picked up a 2007 Vanquish in 2009 complete for £260(and a £30 accessories voucher chucked in!), higher spec than the Viirtuoso. They're still doing the TDF's at £299 down from £450. You'd need to work out exactly to the last nut and cable what you'd need to put it on the road, by checking the net such as Wiggle/CRC/Merlin etc to even match the TDF spec and see if it adds up- have you the tools and know-how to rebuild it too?
I reckon you'd be cheaper buying a TDF or something similar. £80 but what warranty?0 -
No its not, but mine is, listed in the classifieds for 200 delivered, including wheels and everything else!0
