Hi everyone,

Had my Wolf Ridge now for about 11 years and she's still going strong though not so sure i am am. Noticed that my forks are leaking and it seems to be oil front he tpc system - as the forks are so old it seems no one is able to or willing to offer advice on servicng or carry it out for me - though the local bike shops are all suggesting i should buy a new steed.

If i were to replace them can anyone suggest a good alternative for sensible money - they need to have 1&1/8 steerer tube and travel of 100mm - to match the rear travel. There now seems to be a bewildering array of forks to choose from and i'm not sure if air or coil is the way to go.

Am looking for forks with simillar/better performance so any suggestions woud be good before they finally give up the ghost.

have Hope C2 Brakes mounted on them - if this is an issue in case the mountings are not the same centre to centre ....

    what fitting is the brake?

It will be Post mount but is it the early one or the current one.

what year fork? or have a look on the last page of the FAQs for measurements and info.

But I think if we take it as being standard Post mount.

Crickey - no wonder buying a new bike is easier but costlier!

It's post mount 6" - the mounting centres of the bolts are about 75mm apart and the disc itself is 168mm diameter as far as i can measure. The brakes are the early ones - they're as old as the rest of the bike - ie 1999/2000. (retro to some but to me just my bike).

Would i also need to be replacing brakes.......

The brake caliper body just bolts straight onto the fork...
