Hi everyone,
Had my Wolf Ridge now for about 11 years and she's still going strong though not so sure i am am. Noticed that my forks are leaking and it seems to be oil front he tpc system - as the forks are so old it seems no one is able to or willing to offer advice on servicng or carry it out for me - though the local bike shops are all suggesting i should buy a new steed.
If i were to replace them can anyone suggest a good alternative for sensible money - they need to have 1&1/8 steerer tube and travel of 100mm - to match the rear travel. There now seems to be a bewildering array of forks to choose from and i'm not sure if air or coil is the way to go.
Am looking for forks with simillar/better performance so any suggestions woud be good before they finally give up the ghost.

Just need to add
have Hope C2 Brakes mounted on them - if this is an issue in case the mountings are not the same centre to centre ....0 -
how much do you want to spend?
V and or Disc brake fitting?"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Disc brake - got Mavic rims on Hope XC hubs and Hope C2 Brakes
under £300 would be good as also looking to replace the rear .....0 -
what fitting is the brake?
It will be Post mount but is it the early one or the current one.
what year fork? or have a look on the last page of the FAQs for measurements and info.
But I think if we take it as being standard Post mount."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Crickey - no wonder buying a new bike is easier but costlier!
It's post mount 6" - the mounting centres of the bolts are about 75mm apart and the disc itself is 168mm diameter as far as i can measure. The brakes are the early ones - they're as old as the rest of the bike - ie 1999/2000. (retro to some but to me just my bike).
Would i also need to be replacing brakes.......0 -
The brake caliper body just bolts straight onto the fork...0
