Hello,

I'm looking for some advice on replacing my PACE RC303 and PACE XCAM RC41 forks.

I do mostly XC and ride a mixture of Trail Center stuff (Cannock \ Coed Y Brenin, etc) and natural trails.

Budget for frame and forks is about £1500 (as Fork prices ar frankly, mental)

Cheers for any advice, ideas

T1b

First off need to know why you want to replace it - is it knackered, sizing, geometry?

What parts do you have to fit on it?

92% of teenagers have turned to rap. If your one of the 8% that still listens to real music put this in your sig.

Can't see why you'd want to replace the Rev's for that kinda riding, unless you're just goign to get a newer set of the same.

Have a set of 140mm Rev Races on my frame and really couldn't ask for anything better for xc/trail centres imo.

    Hi,

The reason for replacing it is a while back, I got some pretty bad chain suck and damaged the drive side chainstay, I kind of ignored it for a few years but the squeaking \ squealing is becoming more noticeable.

When I put the bike in for service the guy at the LBS said "ooh, you'll want to keep an eye on that as that wall is very thin".

So rather than wait for it to fail on that rocky descent I figured just replace the frame.

Stuff I'd be shifting over in no real order.

    XT 9 Speed drive chain
    Hope BB
    Hope Mono Mini's
    Hope Hoops
    Easton Carbon Seatpost and Handlebar
    Hope Stem
    XT Pedals

I would keep the forks but locking them out by tapping the top and changing my rebound speed accidently seems a bit cave man.

Looking at keeping it HT as I like HT's

    Cheers :)

Oh, I'm elatively happy with teh geometry, locking the forks at 130 makes it climbeable.

It's hard to see a better option than the OnOne Carbon 456 frame - at £399 is an absolute steal, and weighs just 3.5lbs.

Add to that a top end Revalation, maybe with tapered steerer:

Need to ask for the Maxle and Taper upgrades, should push up to about 1k. The RLT Ti is even better.

Cut out distributors, but even though, certainly not making much profit lol.
