    Where is it?

Can't say I'm impressed. Fignon deserves better. The Reg Harris statue at the velodrome is much more impressive IMO

likewise am sure there are some other images of Fignon , the rimmed glasses, the sweat band on and such, that could have been used to make it more distinctive face on, on a bike, not side on bust.. He never wore those horrible oakley things as well, so had his own character

It's in the Parc de la Brèche at Creteil. The 'Tour Village' was in part of the park there before the start on Sunday, and the 'Depart fictif' was in a road just adjacent the park.

    Yup
That looks like a human liver caught in a spiders web.

Hinault appears to be checking the name on the plinth as if he might have accidently attended the wrong unveiling.

It looks like a sundial with the head of a greek god. Oh well, I suppose it's better than nothing.

Give a 3 year old some playdo and i guarantee the outcome will look better than that statue.

A bit of a fail IMO. Lacks the 'Panache' of it's subject. His opinion would, doubtless, have been trenchant.

I think we should just be glad he gets a memorial, if it sparks even one kids interest in "who is that, I'll google him" and gets them into cycling and it's rich history it'll be a plus.
