Trails/routes around Bala N. Wales

Hi all,
Going on holiday with the family next week to Bala in North Wales and wanted to check if anyone know any good natural trails in very close proximity. I know the obvious trail centres but was looking for something a bit closer that I can ride without it taking all day.
I generally like up and down stuff with features rather than XC, but just want to ride so anything will do.
