Giant Revel 3 for my 10year old?

Do you think the Revel 3 is a good bike to get my lad into cycling around tracks and country lanes, allowing him to go off with mates and have fun? Anyone got any experience with them..I can get 2011 model it for £250

    My 9 year old son has had one for about 12 months. Absolutely no problems with it , not everyone's cup of tea but I really like Giants and at that price you cant fault them.
