When fitting my rear pannier rack I tightened the screw too much and now it just spins around in the hole, im guessing the thread has gone.

What can I do about this!? Can it be fixed? PLEASE PLEASE help!

put a nut on the back.

if they is not possible then talk to an engineer about a way to fix it.

it does depend which thread you have stripped.

If it's the drive-side lower rack mount (down by the mech), put bolt in from the wheel side and nut on the outside incase it fouls the chain in top gear.

If it's the rack mount at the top of the stay (like a bottle cage mount boss) it's a bit more drastic:
Remove bolt, turn anti-clock while prising with a slim flat balded screw driver
Remove old boss insert (good luck)
Replace boss insert with fresh 'rivnut'.

    Alternatively, buy a bag!
