Hi all,
just wondering if anyone has a link to the routes for last years Evans Cycles Cannock Chase sportive? http://www.evanscycles.com/ride-it/cann ... tober-2011 Potentially going to do both the MTB and Road long routes, but ideally would like to see how much climbing is involved before committing.
Cheers

Hi Zoglug
Can't help with a link but I have the data for the 60 mi route, which has elevation gain at 870m. The profile for the route is here...
The memorable ascents are Buttermilk Hill, a steep short section just after the reservoir, and the road back up to the Chase from Brocton towards the finish.0 -
Here you go, I kept it as I thought I might prove a good training route: -

I did the long route last year, planning to do it again even though I vowed not too last year. Not too bad a couple of steep ones but only one really bad one that had me walking, have beaten it since tho on a drier day.
Biggest killer was the wind last year, most of the route is fairly open and I managed to get into a decent paced group that all turned off for the medium route and no one caught me up, had to do about 45 miles solo. Will be looking for a few long route peeps before setting off this time.Saracen Tenet 3 - 2015 - Dead - Replaced with a Hack Frame
