Travel mis-match ok? 6" front and 8" rear?

I've got a Santa Cruz Super 8 frame that I'm restoring and although I want to build it up I can't see me keeping it in the long term. I was going to buy a set of RS Pike's for it, but not too sure if the frame will be ok angle-wise if I run 6" travel at the front and 8" at the rear? What do you think? There is a fair bit of adjustment on the Super 8 frame, so should be able to tweak the angles a bit, but not sure if 2" of difference in travel between the front and rear is too much?

dont be stupid. it would be so wrong on so many ways.

the frame really needs Shiver DC or early Monsters it would just look wrong with SC forks on it.

Funny you say that, as it did come with some Monsters on it. However epic-ly large they were, I fancied something lighter so just sold them on flea-bay:

Recon it would be level, as the rear of the bike is quite adjustable. Guess it does need 8" forks though.
