Hi
Have recently read threads about why anyone would pay to ride a sportive, I thought I'd share my experience.
The CycleOps road sportive at Selkirk was simply superb.
The organisation was slick and efficient, great facilities, stunning scenery and roads and a very relaxed and friendly banter on the course.
Most defiantly not a race but a fair few guys flying along.
Certificate, t shirt, drinks and cake on completion, well stocked feed stations and photographers on the course and at the finish.
It had it all, I dont know how they could improve it.
The weather was a massive bonus.
So if you've ever doubted the value of a sportive give this one a try next year!

Hiya pal,
That's one very tasty bike you were on today and I'm not surprised you were happy with your time, you were going like a train.
We were chatting on the last big climb of the day!!

Seconded - great sportive only my 2nd, friendly & well organised event, beautiful course challenging in places, nice t-shirt too.
If nothing else £27 to camp for 3 nights in Selkirk is cheap.‘There is No Try. There is only Do. Or do not.’0
